We train on Saturday morning outdoors in a private paddock
We are situated in PL9 (address is confirmed on booking)
There is plenty of parking
My course is designed so that you and your dogs learn both foundation skills and behaviours
A foundation skill is a skill that you and your dog need to know in order to enable a lifetime of successful learning
There are many foundation skills on the curriculum; for dog to learn, and for you to learn
A behaviour is a specific action that you eventually put on cue, such as sitting politely for a pat, walking nicely on lead, coming when called etc.
There are groups of behaviours in this course and each one has multiple levels of difficulty.
The course is designed with an emphasis on foundation skills which creates a sound basis for lifelong learning.
We all want our dogs to learn certain behaviours, but what's more important is that they learn how to learn.
When you and your dogs master the foundation skills, you can teach/learn new behaviours and handle most any situation you encounter with confidence.
We hope that by the end of the course you have been taught how to manage behaviours on your own, so you can go forward and foster lifelong trust, learning and communication with your dog.
Week 1 - Focus on owner
Week 2 - Disengagement from the environment
Week 3 - Loose lead walking
Week 4 - Recall
Week 5 - Confidence around distractions
Week 6 - Impulse control
For Adolescent dogs aged 27wks - 24 months
